This is going to be a bit of a long odd-ball question, so sorry in advance. As someone who's only ever really had typical pets (dog/cat) I've often wondered how, or if, reptiles display affection. A dog might become excited when you come home from work, or a cat might curl up in your lap, but how, or do, reptiles exhibit affection? Thanks in advance!
They dont for the most part. You can earn their trust but they do not have the mental ability for “love/affection” .
My iguanas do! They mostly get fussy when they’re hungry or have to poop but sometimes when they want pets. There have been a few occasions I hadn’t been able to calm them down until I put them in bed with me and pet them to sleep.

"They sneak up on you"
It was so ridiculous I was laughing and had to sit down and I literally just cried for a while.
I REALLY want to make a plushie out of this and see if anyone buys it.
